Rostock Max V4 kit has 0.9 degree motors and 16 tooth pulleys; set to 20 tooth it tries to level the bed several cm up in the air…
Rostock Max V4 should have 0.9 degree motors and 20 tooth pulleys, I assume?
There are actually wires that go through this extrusion, in Step 79, for a thermistor. I found it much easier to thread these through BEFORE putting the tower in place. I also deburred the inside of the hole to make sure they could come out the other end.
Pictures 2 and 3 are reversed; 2 shows the Green wire attachment, 3 shows the Black wire attachment.
Should be 4 M3x10mm screws with washers for a total of 12 M3 screws with washers for the three assemblies.
2mm Hex Wrench to tighten set screw.
My kit came with 6 #4 x 1/4” screws, which seemed to be just fine for the ball joints.
Edited typo “20awg” to “12awg” in first step of this section.
I had the same problem - crashing into X-tower, grinding, etc. I loosened all of the tower bolts and made sure the towers were firmly seated, and re-tightened the stepper motor belts about double what I had previously and it calibrated perfectly.
The command says S235, but then in the explanation it says S250 and in the picture it shows S280... I'm pretty sure S250 is correct, yes?
