[title] Tapping Melamine "Redneck Style"
[* 1] Locate the #10-32, 5/8” Socket Head Cap Screw in the Hardware Pack 78890.
[* 1] View the document "Tapping Melamine" in the list of files at the beginning of this guide for a detail drawing of which holes need to be tapped.
[* 1] We're going to use this to cut threads into 4 of the melamine plates. These threaded holes will be used later with nylon thumbscrews to hold the mirror mount, mirror, and VAT. You'll need a 5/32” Allen wrench to drive the screw in, or you can use an electric drill (depending on your level of skill / confidence).
[* 1] MANUALLY DRIVE THE SCREW COMPLETELY THROUGH THE MELAMINE AND THEN REMOVE IT AND REPEAT FOR EACH HOLE. THERE ARE 9 TOTAL LOCATIONS TO BE TAPPED. BE SURE TO TAP THE HOLES AS STRAIGHT AS POSSIBLE.
